Rohit Shetty welcomes Farah Khan on the board

The choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan is all set to wear a director’s hat once again after a long period of 5 years. Farah who has earlier directed films such as Om Shanti Om,  Main Hoon Na, Tees Maar Khan and Happy New Year has revealed about her collaboration with Rohit Shetty for her comeback project.  This untitled project is going to be an action comedy film which will be directed by Farah Khan while Rohit will produce under his banner Rohit Shetty Picturez. The film is being presented by Reliance Entertainment and is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez. Under his production house, Rohit shetty has delivered  films like Golmaal Again and Simmba which has performed exceptionally well at the box office.

  

“Sometimes the Universe just conspires to give you what you didn’t even imagine...Together with Rohit, Who I genuinely love as a brother, and whose work ethic I respect and share, I can only promise a ‘Mother of all Entertainers’! Cant wait to say ‘Roll Camera’ for this one!!” Farah said in a statement.

Rohit also shares his excitement for the project and says, “It’s a privilege for my production company to have Farah on board to direct the film for us as she is extremely talented and hard working. It will definitely be a wonderful association. I can’t wait to start work with this extremely talented powerhouse. Looking forward.” Rohit Shetty is busy with his next directorial venture Sooryavanshi, which is again a cop-drama as well. In addition to Hindi films, Rohit Shetty Picturez has plans to address the digital content-consuming audience with original web series. He also plans to cater to Rohit’s younger fans with animated content like Little Singham on Discovery kids.

 

Its gonna be amazing to see these two exceptionally creative minds coming together for the first time. Already speculations are made that this is gonna be a larger-than-life spectacle. The star cast is not yet been finalised but according to a leading portal, Deepika has been approached for the project and the story reportedly has a very strong female character. Farah thinks Deepika would be a perfect choice for the role. A source told the portal, “Once things will be finalised, official announcements would be made. If things go well, this will be the third time Farah Khan and Deepika Padukone will collaborate on the project. Deepika also made her Bollywood debut with Farah’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Deepika is currently busy prepping up for her next Chappak with Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on the life of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika is not only playing the lead role in the film, but she is also making her debut as a producer with Chhapaak. 

Neha Dhupia stands strong against "Fat shaming"

Actor Neha Dhupia shocked everyone by tying a knot with her childhood friend Angad Bedi in May 2018. Soon after marriage, the couple welcomed her daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi in November 2018. An online fashion publication recently marked as “ Neha Dhupia shocking weight gain post pregnancy at Femina Stylista West 2019”. Just like her usual cool tone Neha slammed the publication for this. 

Neha Dhupia said, “I don’t owe anyone an explanation because fat shaming like this doesn’t bother me one bit. But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fat shaming needs to stop for EVERYONE not just celebs. As a new mom, I want to be fit, healthy and energetic for my daughter. So I workout every day, sometimes twice a day because for me…. 'Fitness' is a priority and not 'fitting into society’s standards regarding looks' And I hope in the future people are kinder to each other while making such vapid and vile comments."

To stand by her director friend Karan Johar replied to her post on twitter, “Neha! You are an amazing women! You walk so many paths with humour…. With intelligence and with abandon! It’s never about losing weight; it’s always about gaining perspective! And I hope the woman who wrote this has gained some today. Sonam kapoor has also replied in favour of Neha saying “You are beautiful. No matter what anyone says” 
 

Neha shares her experience how she manages to judge work with motherhood, “As parents, both I & Angad don’t make a big deal out of anything. And that’s how we end up doing something like this.” During her entire pregnancy and post pregnancy, she has been working round the clock. Just few weeks after giving birth to the baby girl, she was flying for a shoot of a reality show. Recently, she resumed to hosting one of our favorite talk show, BFFs with vogue. She recently been seen in films such as Qarib Qarib Singlle, Tumhari Sulu and Helicopter Eela.

Hatts off to Neha for standing strong against such body shaming. By doing this, Neha has boosted the morale of the other women. The website seems to have been deleted the article after she slammed on the media reports. Earlier, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a victim of this shaming which she has said affected her badly.

 

The Emerging Star of Bollywood : Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan has recently marked her debut in Bollywood with “Kedarnath”.  Soon after her debut film, her second film “Simmba” released which proved that she is born to be a star. She got her 2^nd Bollywood project even before her 1^st film release. The daughter of Saif Ali Khan & Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan is a combination of beauty and brain. Even before she was an actress, she has appeared on the cover page of the “Hello!” magazine along with her mother, Amrita Singh.

Soon after the appearance on the cover page of the magazine, she started getting modeling assignments & film offers. However, her parents wanted her to pursue her studies first. Sara Ali Khan always wanted to become an actress.  Her parents thought that she will not take the interest in her studies. But she went to New York for further studies after schooling from Besant Montessori School, Mumbai. She completed her graduation in History and political Science in 2016 from Columbia University, New York. Her Favorite subject is History and she likes to visit museums.

Hardik Pandya, K L Rahul - Koffee With Karan Controversy

Taking a break from his bollywood friends, This time  KJO invited two cricketers as guests on the coffee couch – Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul. The young cricketers have made misogynistic comments on the popular TV show Koffee With Karan which grabbed the eyeballs of the audiences. This episode of the TV show was aired on January 6.  During an hour long show, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul talked about their relationships, crushes, favourite movies, actors and actresses. On one hand Rahul kept a level head on his shoulders and chose his words very carefully while replying to Karan Johar's questions throughout the show and on the other hand Hardik who got carried away and opened up about hooking up with multiple women and even spoke about how open he is with his parents.

Controversial statements made by cricketers on the show:-

On asking about why he doesn’t ask women for their names in nightclubs, The 25-year-old also said things like, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move," 

When asked by the host Karan Johar if they had “done it in teammates’ rooms,” both Pandya and Rahul responded in the positive.

"When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, 'Main karke aya hai aaj (I had sex today)'. At a party my parents asked me 'acha tera wala (women) kaun sa hai [who is your interest here?] so I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women)' and they were like 'waah proud of you beta'," Pandya boasted.

Rahul then went on to reveal how they both decide on who gets to date a girl when Karan Johar asked them what happens when both of them like a particular person? "Upto the woman," Rahul replied. But Pandya interrupted and said, "Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai. Jisko mila woh leke jao. It is on talent."

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul criticised for their sexist and racists comments on a popular TV show, Koffee With Karan and set the internet on fire. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were suspended from ongoing Australia tour & India's limited-overs tour of New Zealand later this month. The both young cricketers have been replaced by Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill in the team. Hardik Pandya posted an apology note on twitter. But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was not satisfied with the apology and put the two cricketers under provisional suspension and asked them return home from Australia. 

The duo was also slammed by legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar and World Cup-winning spinner Harbhajan Singh for their controversial remarks. Their comments on the show  disappointed their fans and followers and became a meme material after the controversy. Hardik has also lost out on an endorsement contract with the men’s grooming brand Gillette. The Indian cricketer had to incur a loss of approximately Rs. 2 crores due to this. Many companies are reconsidering their decision of having them as the faces of their respective brands. There is also talk of downgrading the two from their current level of central contracts.

 

 

Father on rescue:-

Hardik’s father Himanshu Pandya came into rescue of his son and said. "I don't think people should read too much into his comments. It was an entertainment show and his comments were made in a light-hearted manner. He was only looking to entertain the audience. So, it [his comments] should not be viewed very seriously or negatively. He is an innocent boy with a very fun-loving nature."

Pandya's father also provided an update on his son's current state of mind and said that the India all-rounder has not stepped out of the house since returning from Australia, not taking calls and did not even celebrate Makar Sankranti. "He watched the match (India vs Australia 2nd ODI). Ever since he has returned from Australia, he has not stepped out of the house. He is also not taking any calls... he is just taking rest,"

Pandya's father Himanshu was quoted as saying by "It's a festival... a public holiday in Gujarat, but Hardik did not fly any kites. He loves flying kites but his busy cricketing schedule never allowed him to be at home during this festival over the last few years. This time, he had a chance to fly kites, but because of the adverse situation, there was no mood to celebrate the festival," he added. "He is very disappointed with the suspension and repents the views he expressed on the TV show. He is committed not to repeat the same mistake," Himanshu said of his son's take on the subject. "We have decided not to talk to him on this subject. Even his elder brother Krunal has not discussed anything about the episode with him. We are waiting for the BCCI's decision," he concluded.

Controversial episode:-

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul requested Karan Johar asking him to pull down the episode after things went out from their hands. The channels gave it a considerable thought with Karan as to whether it is right to pull down the episode considering that the controversy would have given it a significant TRP jump. The TV channel Star World on their part have taken down the Koffee With Karan repeat telecasts of entire week & episode from their streaming app as well in the interest of the cricketers and their careers.  In addition to this, channel has also been running an apology when they streamed their last episode with Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.
